Last month marked only the 3rd time ever visiting Door County which happened to be the week of my wife & I's 10th anniversary. The 1st time was in July 2014 on our honeymoon. Each time we visit, I tell my wife that we have to have pizza at least once whenever we're up this way. It was a Monday night and in Door County, lotsa restaurants are either closed or closed early. My family & I were staying at an air bnb in Sturgeon Bay and was a bit on the late side for dinner. Had a craving for some good pizza and stumbled across this place on Google search and maps. Noticed it was highly rated located directly south a couple miles of where we were staying on the outskirts of town. Judging by the location, this venue may not be the choice of too many tourists and favored by the locals but so glad we tried this place. Hidden Bridge is truly a hidden gem and easily the best pizza I've had in Door County to date. My wife & I aren't really bar people but the food in general is good and the pizza is tops over Wild Tomato and Sonny's which were the only 2 pizza joints I've been to so far up here. Even though HBP is located far away from downtown Sturgeon Bay where the tourists/boaters hang out at, this place is an absolute must. I live in the Chicago area which is one of the most popular pizza capitals in the country and this pizza is up there with some of the better ones I've had in my lifetime. I always strive to support local and wish for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).

We ordered onion rings and a sausage, mushroom, onion pizza. It was outstanding! The pizza crust was cooked perfectly. The pizza toppings were fresh and delicious. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Hadn't been in since it was the Stage Road Inn. Pizza was as good as ever! A lot of memories in this building growing up. Happy to see the tradition of quality Wisconsin dining is still alive and well! Will be back!

Been coming to Door County for years. Always like trying different places. Decided to check out pizza places this trip. Pizza at the usual places further up the peninsula seems to have fallen off recently. Found Hidden Bridge online and thought we would give it a try. Pizza was great here. Asked for it a little crispy because that's how I like it and it was cooked perfect. Service was great while I waited. Bar was basic and for sure a local spot, not tourist spot. If you like coming to DC and want to try some local hidden gems off the beaten path give this place a shot.

I found this place when researching the best burgers in Sturgeon Bay... but ended up not getting a burger. I got the bluegill sandwich instead, and a shrimp basket with fries. Had a couple Wisconsin-native beers, too. Bluegill sandy was tasty - served with tartar sauce on the side in case you don't want it on the sandwich. Not sure if they make their own cocktail sauce, but what they served with the shrimp basket was zingy and very nice. Fries were of the curly variety and as tasty as could be. Portion sized were reasonable. Very comfortable joint. Good place to pull off the road and rest for an hour or two. Biker-friendly. It's not very showy from the road. There's a green banner up top of the building, with black lettering. but it's hard to make out the name of the place at quick glance. I guess they're still figuring out the signage they want to stick with. You can see in the photos that it's bright and clean inside. Owner and her hubby run a tight ship, and are about the most friendly and helpful people you'll likely come across. Personally, I'm more a fan of "traditional" dingy rural Wisconsin taverns, myself, places that anchor the neighborhood have "character" and are frequented by characters - kinda like the AC Tap between Bailey's Harbor and Sister Bay - but the Hidden Bridge is the sorta place that anyone will like and feel comfortable. You can bring you biker pals there for a basket of fries and a coke, or swing by with the wife, kids and your grandma for a perch sandwich and a couple pints of beer. Honestly, this place deserves to be better-known than it is. I've told a few people who live up here north of Sturgeon Bay about it and they didn't even know it was there. I hope that changes. Drop in and set a spell and enjoy it. We need these nice taverns and to make sure that good ones like Hidden Bridge stick around. Support your local Wisconsin taverns!
